We can't beat the ASTONS because they complained about us winning all the time-or them losing- and thus we got the weight penalty!!Ever since then, they win at 24 HOURS and other places. They couldn't beat us fair and square so they came up w/a way to legally cheat!!!Were I in charge,I would have pulled my cars from competiton or demanded equal consideration some how!!They got away and continue to get away w/this nonsense!!!

don't know about all that but two mechanical failures in a row didn't help.
It happened maybe 3 or 4 years ago when Aston went to the officials and thus the vettes had to add in the neighborhood of 200 lbs.Ever since,Aston has been winning when they are able to race.

As far as I'm concerned, forcing a team to add weight or restrictors is BS. I'd pull the team too. Let them have no competition for awhile.

Now, now - let's not get our knickers in a twist. Aston Martin is a company with a great and genuine racing heritage, excellent preparation, and world-class drivers. To finish second to them at LeMans is no badge of shame - it's an incentive to get 'em next time. And we will.

If aston WAS racing fair and square,I'd agree. They aren't and haven't been for a few years now. They have a clear weight advantage over the vettes as a direct result of them complaining to the authorities!!!That's not fair play.We have been at a disadvantage ever since and that is the only reason they beat us!! tainted wins,ONE AND ALL where they are concerned!
Last nights Speed coverage of GT1 was great, but I turned it back on this morning around 7:00 am and almost no coverage of GT1 for the remainder of the race. Almost exclusively Prototype.
I can't believe that our team changed a rotor and caliper and pads in less than 1:30....think how easy that would make it to put on powder coated calipers!
Any time you finish on the same lap as the winner after 24 hours, it could very easily have gone either way. It looks to me like the cars are now very evenly matched, and in that case the rulesmakers did the right thing. Having one car run away from everyone else isn't racing, it's an exhibition. Not terribly interesting.
Major props to both the Aston Martin and Corvette teams, they both were superb. For us, there's always next year.

It's better than racing against no one, like last year's ALMS series.
