I don't recommend the 05 C6 because it was very different from the following years and as time goes on it may be a Little harder to get serviced and to locate certain unique parts for.[/QUOTE]"ROCKETMANWPB"

This statment is totaly stupid and has no truth on what is said!!

Default I like my C5 better than my C6 but my left knee is shot!

I have an '02 C5 and an '05 C6.
I actually like my '02 better than the C6 but I had to buy one with an automatic this time due to a bad left knee. My '02 is a six speed and it is still under GM ZERO Deductible extended warranty until April of next year.
My '02 is a Millineum Yellow convertible and has all the options including the 3 way adj suspension (F45) and 12 CD player.
I have it listed for sale in the C5's for sale section of this forum.
This car has been stored in a temperature controlled garage and never been a daily driver and never even spun a wheel or been drag raced. It has less than 27k miles on it and most of those are cruise control miles @70-73 mph.
If you are serious about finding a beautiful C5 with all the "bells and whistles" that has been pampered, check out my ad.
Again, the only reason I am selling it is because of my bad left knee.
I am located in Saraland, Alabama and this beauty is ready for you to drive anywhere!

I almost bought a used C5 until a local Forum dealer began offering steap discounts on new C6's.

If you are not comfortable with the monthly payments on a C6, I recommend getting the C5. Nobody knows what the future holds if you wait.

If an 03 - 04 C5's low to mid $20K tag is still stretching the budget, look around for a low mileage 99. IMHO...99 was a GREAT year for the C5. You should be able to find a nice one in the mid to high teens. And the best thing about getting a C5 now is that even if you drive it for 2 - 3 years while you save up for your C6, if you take care of the C5, you can probably sell it in 2-3 years for almost what you pay for one now. Good Luck!
