Front Plate Solution W/pics
Here is what I decided to try and see how it holds up! Sort of copied the idea from a Forum Vendor! I just couldn't see paying that much for something I could do for about $2.00.
I simply cut myself two aluminum L brackets and mounted them on the front plate. While I had the plate in my hands, I bent it to conform with the front of the car and added foam to the bottom in case it contacted the car.

Then I put some of that super sticky two face tape on the bracket and trail fitted it before mounting it. I cleaned and removed the wax from the mounting points then I stuck it on the car, trying to center the plate to the car!

Here is what it looks like, I'm I happy with it "NO"
Do I like it as much as some of the brackets being sold on this Forum "Yes".
Do I have other options if I change my mind, "yes".
I can always take it back off with a little effort and no damage to the car.

Looks great (for what it is.)
I came up with something similar just in case I had to get a ticket signed off. I took the large suction cups from the V1 package that I wasn't using and stuck the **** into the upper holes in the plate, the small suction cups into the lower holes. Sticks on the nose without scratching. Works perfect for temporary use; would stay on under daily driving conditions.
I'll post some pics when I think of it.

Great idea. You could have taken it one step further by making it removable.
Cut two more squares of aluminum, then drill a body hole with a countersink into the center. Now drop a flat head screw in with some Locktite superbond. Once it dries, bolt every thing together with some wing nuts then use your 3M tape to secure the bracket to car.
This would make it removable by unscrewing the wing nuts.
Just a thought.

Good Idea. I'm moving to Texas and while there this past month I did not see a single corvette with the front plate! Not a single one and I saw at least 30 or so vettes in 3 weeks. G.Smith your idea is just about what I had in mind and probably better. The other suggestion from Steve is what I think I'll do too. For about $10 American, I can have an equivalent front support that rivals a forum vendors solution.

"In honor of jpee"
Suggestion: put some tape or something behind the lower lip of the license plate (if you haven't already). Otherwise, the constant vibration of the plate on the painted bumper will take off the paint.

I agree; the vibration will wear a mark into the paint. I have done it.
