I need a set of tires for my 06 and prefer the Firestone Firehawks but none seem to be available in Southeast or Central Texas. Corvettes of Houston has been back-ordered for three months with a long waiting list. Anyone have any idea if this is a nation wide scarcity or what's going on at Firestone?
It appears to be a shortage of the fronts for both the FS and the standard GY EMTs. I needed to replace my fronts and it took about 6 weeks for my dealer to get them, I got them about 3 weeks ago, but that was all he could get at the time. Supposedly Michelin is also coming out with a RF version of their PS2s in August. I've had the standard PS2s on my C6 and they are great, albeit a little pricey. Maybe increased competition will help the availability.
Kumbo makes runflats for C6? Where did you get them?
THey only make the fronts in RF...Got them from the 'other' big online...discount tire....place....
i love them and hope they decide to make the rears.....

I know they aren't Firestones but I have a full set of OEM takeoffs from a Z51 for sale on the parts forum. Might be the thing to do until tires catch up with demand.

This is timely. My fronts are almost on the cord and I need to replace them asap. I really wanted to put the original F1 Supercars on them, but can not find them anywhere. I also want to buy new rears (and make them the same)
I just went with the Kumho RFs for the front, went with Goodyear EMTs for the rear. Will have them installed middle of the week. Bought them from forum sponsor: Tire Rack.

I actually like the setup....the kumho's are great....some people here were bitchin about mixing brands, but no one offered anything to be of concern....I kept the old GY's in the back, they are only half gone....the fronts were at the cords....
I ran Kumho non-RFs on my last C4. Wore great, handled well both dry and in the rain. Had Kumho offered RFs in the rear size I'd have gone with them for the rear as well.
