hello

Any of you guys installed the clear Bra on a C6. I would like to know what you paid and how you feel about the prodcut?

Hi Max,
Do a search and you should find about 200 posts on the clear bra. I love mine. The only negative is seeing the edges on a dark color. I have to occasionally explain that no, it's not scratched. I paid about $750 for the entire front end, partial hood, mirrors, rocker panels and behind the wheels.

I bought a 3M Invisimask from a CF vendor. Since my Vette is a fair weather, less than 3K mi/yr car, I decided against installing it (actually, my neighbor and fellow Vette owner, who has done several of these). I paid over $170, includes video and all necessary application accessories but will sell it to you for $90 and I'll pay the shipping. I don't Ebay or have the time to mess with selling it so this deal would be of mutual benefit. It's for a C6 and covers the entire front bumper / nose. This is not the kit that extends onto the hood or fenders. It has cutouts done for the emblem and lights. Let me know if you're interested via PM and we can discuss payment.

Thanks

I just got quoted 1600 for the same thing you got. I thought it was a little high.

Its all about the installer and how they stand behind their work and product.

I would not do this yourself. Let the pros do it.

My Ventureshield clearbra has saved my paint at least 3 major times and is still going strong with only minor scuffs on the bra.

Truck tire tread direct to the front bumper and no paint damage. Just a tiny scrape on the clearbra after I wiped all the black off.....

Pm me if you want the name of the shop that did mine. I am very happy and impressed. I'm in the SF Bay.

A friend of mine installed a clear bra. I would not do it because the line shows and dust collects at the bra line.

I had the Ventureshield clear bra installed and I love it. It has saved me a couple of times from small rocks being kicked up on I680 in my normal commute. I had mine installed in Fremont and the cost was $850. I live in Livermore and work in Santa Clara. If you want to see the product on my car just PM me and we can discuss it.

I typically charge $750 for the same kit. $1600 is way to high for an install...

I have the 3M clear bra on my AO 08 C6. Paid $320 at DriverSource in Houston for front facia/bumper and mirrors. Looks great. Bugs and other road debris wipe off pretty easily. You can't see any of the lines unless you get down and actually look for them. I'm told that the AO metallic hides the lines the best, but I have a friend with a victory red 07 with the same install and it's tough to see the lines on his as well.

I have a few questions on the clear bras also. Do you wax the clear bra just like you would the paint? Is it important to get a solid wax job (zaino!) on the paint prior to installing the clear bra? Anyone know of a good installer in Houston that uses Venture Shield?

I always strip the wax from the surface prior to installing the film. It is very important to have a good clean surface to adhere to. Once the kit is installed give it about 30 days to fully cure. Then feel free to use as much Zaino as you want on it. I advise not using a wax that will yellow... it will build up in the film and actually cause the film to yellow over time. Zaino is my favorite... and I hear about good results with Rejex as well.

I just had Ventureshield installed last week and love it. It IS invisible on victory Red! Had the front bumper, fenders, 1/2 the hood, headlights, side mirrors and rocker panels covered. $740.00 I've already Zaino'd it 2x's. Very happy with it!
