I have a set of Pewter ones (will not install, would be too much to add them) that Mike sent me also, they go on very easily but patience is the key. A couple words of advice, do not under any circumstances put them on if it is windy and you are outdoors. Fine particles will turn out like air bubbles and not look very good. Second, thoroughly clean the ends in the hood and wheel well areas, cleaning these areas with a bit of alcohol will ensure that the stripes stick well and not lift off.
I'm sure they'll look great against your LMB and black wheels.
There are instructions on Mike's site, they're all basically the same; after installing mine, I could only imagine that the GS stripes would be a simple enough install. All you need is soapy water in a sprayer and a squeegee covered in a clean towel. Wet down the fender where you want the stripes along with the 'sticky' side of the stripes and your hands (so they don't stick to your skin); then place them on the car and adjust to your liking. Work out the bubbles as you see fit, I worked from the inside out...
Make sure all surfaces are very clean and it is not windy... If you happen to get any bubbles they'll disappear in after some time parked in the Chicago sun. In the event you get impatient, do not 'pop' them with a needle, that little 'pop' will get very big with the temperature changes (expansion and contraction....).

Current vote 2 to 1 in favor of adding the stripes(hash marks). Just checked the 10 day forcast and looks like a rainy weekend ahead. Wonder how that will effect B.G.?
I was considering the same type stripes (hash marks) as well, only Monterey Red if I could fine them for a Machine Silver car. However, I was not sure if this is a just a Coupe thing. I have a convertible also and you almost never seem to see a convertible with fender stripes. Is it appropriate to put them on a convertible or am I setting myself up?

Technically they belong only on a Grand Sport so anyone who puts them on something other than a Grand Sport is "setting themselves up" for negative comments. Who cares.
I put pewter metallic racing stripes on my machine silver C6. I'm sure at some point someone will let me know how "wrong" racing stripes are on a Corvette. I don't care, they make ME happy & it's all about ME.

Actually, they only belong on race cars.... they were originally used to by some teams to identify specific cars (instead of using numbers). Different numbers of hash marks for 1, 2, 3rd car on a team for example, or different colors.
The '63 GS race cars used them, and then when the GS version of the C4 came out they put the marks on that version.
So the GS version was doing it as an hommage to the original race cars - and for those of us who chose to put them on their cars - we can either be honoring the Grand Sport variant (there's one particularly beautiful LMB vert with the GS's hash marks and white center stripe), or the original GS race cars from '63, or as a nod to the early racing teams and drivers.
I actually loved the look on a co-workers AC Cobra, years before the 1996 Grand Sport was released. Now that I can have it on my car, and have it mean so many things... it's just right for me.
I tried it myself and was not satified with the results. I went to a local graphics shop and had him make me a set nd install both sides. they ere red with grey edges, similar to the Ron Fellows type. He also made the two stripes on one sheet of white vinyl, so it is one piece with both stripes. My car is a white C6 w/red interior and it matches perfectly. Cost.$100.00 for both sides, installed. Labor and Stripes. I wasted the set I bought. I would attach pics but don't know how. Good Luck
Just put these on less than an hour ago... I like 'em! Not sure the angle is right, but I'd get a wrinkle/ fold when I tried to angle them more?

I also have a buddy @ a Graphics shop... May give him a call later depending on how will these work... I like the two tone look, maybe black/ gray?
