I purchased LEDs to replace my interior lighting. Having a heck of a time removing the map light bulbs. Any suggestions?
Having never felt the need to remove my bulbs I can't offer very much. The service manuals don't offer much either:
1. Remove the lamp lens from the mirror housing. Pry carefully with a small, flat-bladed screwdriver at the rear edge (1) of the lens, furthest from the windshield.
I used a paper towel and carefully used a pair of needle nose pliers. Use a flashlight to see which way they are seated in the sockets and then just work them back and fourth.
The best way I found it the old "Chinese finger" trick. you need to find a piece of rubber tubing that fits tight enough to just fit over the blub, push it on and pull down quick, the bulb will come with it. Remember the led’s are polarity sensitive so they only work one way
Thanks guys, I finally removed them with a small flat blade screw driver which was suggest by another member but it was a struggle. However, while prying the driver side out the on/off button and part of the switch contact fell out. Not sure how to get this back in place.

The very last tool I would use us a screwdriver, not sure how to get that back in
OMG how hard did you pry on it????? I have done three of my friends map lights with with a small flat head, works great, about a 3 second job
The flat blade worked just fine. I knocked the switch loose trying needle nose yesterday. The reflector moved and that's what caused the switch to fall out.
