I have that problem on another GM vehicle. The player's mechanism got hung up when I changed the battery. I guess the power lost at just the wrong time, like when the startup cycle was going on.

I had that very same problem about 2 months back. It was loaded with 6 of my newest disc. Dealer had to replace the whole CD unit. Never thought to ask what had went wrong, but got a new one under warranty.

I get that error sometimes. It only seems to happen if its very warm outside and the car has been sitting in the sun for awhile at work. Usually if I turn the car off and back on a couple of times that will take care of it for some reason...i'd get it replaced but I'm no longer under warranty.
