I have had my C6 for a couple of years now and have noticed that in slow tight turns it sounds like the rear end is trying to lock up. Almost sounds like its grinding. I bought the car new and it has done it since day one....
You should have received a TSB on differential chatter. If your vehicle is still under warranty take it in and they will change the gear lube with additional additive added in. Oops my bad even if it is out of warranty you can still take in and have them change the gear lube.
Since I don't trust the service depts I did my own quick fix which is to add 1 4oz of differential additive, I used Amsoil. After adding it in do a couple of slow figure 8's to coat the gears and the noise will be gone.
This would be most likely the LSD Clunk & Chatter TSB.
Plenty of threads about this, take it in for service get the differential fluid changed with the new Dextron Fluid see if it makes a difference.
You may need to do this three times, after that you've got another issue altogether. But you'll cross that bridge when you get there.
