Recently purchased a 08 coup with nav system. Of course no jack to plug in a ipod. Any suggestions , do not like the wireless sytems out there, want hard wire and radio control capability.
Thanks, great ride, love the torque....
I am trying to decide between that and burning MP3 CDs. On the one hand, I will have to figure out how to remove the waterfall on my car to get to the XM box (if anyone has step by step with photos, that would be great). On the other hand, I have not mastered the CDs yet. I found instructions on the Forum that were close to what I needed, but not exactly. Most of my songs I purchased from ITunes. They are MP4. You have to burn them as audio CDs and then import them as MP3s. Then you burn MP3 discs. At the moment, I cannot even get the artist or song name to show up when I burn the audio CDs from ITunes.

Oh where is PAL?
To remove waterfall... 2 screws on top, 3 push pins(2 behind , one on passenger side of waterfall)

I will have to go back and look at iTunes, but I think because they are MP4 it will not let me burn an MP3 CD. I will try in a little while and report back on the error message I get.

Thanks. Here is the error message I get.
"The file "Nobody's Fool" is an iTunes Store file and can not be burned to an MP3 CD. iTunes Store Files can not be burned to an MP3 CD."
I think this is so you have to use an iPod as opposed to a generic MP3 player.
Am I doing somthing wrong?
I have hundreds of songs I purchased from the iTunes Store. I would love to get some of them on an MP3 CD.

You're not really doing anything 'wrong.' This is basically Apple's version of DRM. It won't convert its proprietary format directly to mp3. You could burn them as redbook-type audio CDs, then rip them again as mp3s - but then the music has in essence been compressed twice (once by Apple, now by you).
Moral of the story here is that there are now plenty of better places to buy MP3's than Itunes...many have no DRM at all.....you buy them and then you get to play them wherever you want....makes sense huh?

That's what I had to do with the songs I bought from iTunes. I didn't notice any decrease in sound quality from the multiple compressions but it was enough of a PIA that I download my music from Amazon now.

Yes, it makes sense. When I got the iPod a few years ago (pre Corvette), the Corvette Nav system was not really a consideration. At the time, Apple seemed to have the best mouse trap. I guess I am the one who got trapped.
I have made an audio CD, but even this does not have the album, artist and song title information. Can anyone shed light on how to do this in iTunes? When I then rip the audio CD to my hard drive, will all of the information stay intact, or will I have to manually type it in?
