Is your fuel "Range" slow to respond ? I noticed yesterday that on my way to work the "Range" on the fuel information selection would only update every 5 miles......if it said "Range 120 miles" I wouldnt get an update for 5 more miles "Range 115 miles". This might be bad news for someone running near empty.....
Likewise, when I filled it up before work it said "Range 425 miles". Drove it to work (1/2 mile), no change. Got in it to drive home (no change), drove 17 miles and it increased to "Range 439 miles". I guess it was figuring out how I was driving and what type of mileage I was getting. Anyone else notice this ?????
Not worried......had the light come on a couple of times.......just seems lame the computer cant give you an accurate readout at a faster speed......sort of makes this an ineffective feature.

With half a tank a difference of 0.1mpg results in a difference in the range of over 1 mile. So, do you want the range bouncing all over the place every time you step on the gas or do you want to know where you will be +/-5 miles 3 hours from now? Also, as mentioned, when you get to around 40 miles left it will disappear entirely to be replaced by "Low". That means you have another half an hour on the Interstate to find a gas station. It would probably be wise not to push it too much farther than that.
I think that it works perfectly fine. If I do a WOT, it immediately adjusts the "Range" downwards. If you get on the highway the range starts to go up gradually. There is no time delay in it adjusting the range, it just so happens that sometimes your range is increasing although you are driving the car more.
