i know others have posted about this, but i figured i'd post too if for nothing more than forum archiving purposes. got my sirgm1 used from another member here. got it today, installed it within a few minutes, and it's up and running great. i used a small ziptie to secure the antenna to the antenna jack on the module. also, used some zelcro tape to keep the unit from sliding around. i removed the black plastic shelf that held the xm module. connected only the yellow antenna lead from the stock system. i also use a scosche ipod adapter that sits inline with the sirius module. also, i didn't find it necessary to remove the rear window strut as others have mentioned. just by pulling the carpet back i had plenty of room to work.
i've had sirius in my last 4 cars so i'm already a fan. and as many others have mentioned here the reception is better (for me at least here in the pacnw where xm reception is terrible). also the sound quality does seem better than xm.
