Wife and I just got home from a 3,500 mile, 8 day vacation in the Vette! What a great trip! Through SD to Badlands and Mt. Rushmore. Then over to The Little Bighorn National Memorial in Montana. Then over Bear Tooth Pass and into Cody, WY. From there we headed to Yellowstone and Grand Teton National Parks. Spent a couple of days in Jackson Hole, WY and headed back to Arkansas.
The car performed flawlessly, was a real hoot to drive in the mountains, averaged just over 28MPG for the trip, and never made us tired of being on the road. I won't be doing it again in the near future, but this was something that was certainly on my list!
WOW! If you like to travel make a short drive to Eskimo Joes in Stillwater Oklahoma this Sunday. There should be 150 plus vettes there and most of them are forum members. Joes birthday weekend.
Very nice pictures Reminds me of my trip to Glacier park.
I did a similar trip at end of May from Seattle, to Rapid City, Colorado Springs, Denver, Jackson Hole, Yellowstone, etc. With our Monty Red vette, approx 27 mpg. Picts here: http://s281.photobucket.com/albums/k...filter=remixes
