Default Check coolant level?

I have a 06 vette and about two months ago the check coolant level came on, I told my dad that is an old school back in the day mechanic but im sure has no knowledge on my c6 told me that if its asking for coolant there might be something wrong or leaking. I ignored him laughed it off and simply added some coolant, two months later my water pump was leaking. I took it back to the dealership they fixed it under warranty everything was great. Last night exactly 1 month later the check coolant level came on again, what do you guys think is this normal or does this happen with c6s. Im hoping that the new water pump isnt leaking but I really dont want to take it to the dealer should i just add the coolant.

No this is not normal.

Have you noticed any fluids leaking onto the ground. If so take it back in, but if you don't see any coolent leaks add some DexCool and keep an eye on things.

check your coolant level.... there may be just an air pocket in there that didn't let it get filled completely the last time...

You may have air in the cooling system.

Same message on my 08 with 3K. The dealer did a pressure test and could find nothing wrong. He added a quart and a half. 4K later the overflow shows no coolant but the message has not come on again. There is something wrong even if there is no evidence of leaking. The car runs cool when the coolant level is ok, but car should not use coolant period.
