Default Possible Incentives

What is everyones view on the current prices for 08/09 vettes if GM was to announce an incentive like 0% interest rate fo 60 months. I think prices can only drop so far before some other type of incentive is announced.

I was looking at past GM sales and incentives and I would hope that they would have something around Labor Day.

Based upon the number of 08's in stock, I think that is where you will see the incentives. Right now, I don't know why anyone would buy a new 08 when you can buy a new 09 for only a little more.

I'd look for 0% on 08s soon, and more incentives if they don't move by about September.

if they do 0% on the 08s, I know two people who will be down there buying one.

Ahem, Tim @ Boardwalk, please advise. LOL

0% on '08's would be a great deal.

0%/60 mo. and supplier pricing would be great, but usually its an either/or. That would not be much of an incentive in my book...

Default Careful what you wish for

GM and the dealers would love to get rid of the 08s on the lot.
But, if they go to heavy incentives, that will cause people to question the value of the 09s.
Think about it, you get a heavy discount on the 08, how could they justify higher prices for the 09?
Also, there would probably be an increase in the number of Corvette trade ins, further depressing the used Vette market.
I have been looking for an 06/07 vert for 2 months. The dealer prices are way out of line compared with the 08s and now 09s.
GM needs to be careful they don't kill there own market for these cars.
BTW, you can actually see some prices starting to drop for the 06-07 cars. GM dealers are hanging tough, but, the independent and other make dealers are dumping the Vettes.

There may be an incentive starting tomorrow. It won't be 0% financing, but it will be a rebate.
