Came out of work tonight and noticed the doors wouldn’t open and had to use the emergency key to get in…absolutely no power. Thank god this happened at work and a guy with a Hyundai and jumper cables.
Has this happened to anyone else? Dealer fix?
Come on this is brand new car which is suppose to have run down protection- right?
Stock batteries are known to croak on 'Vettes mate, hate to tell ya. I have seen a lot of threads about this.
I plan on starting my car once a week when winter rolls around. Hopefully this will not be an issue for me, but a LOT of people have made posts about their Vette's battery going dead, even on 08's.
anything left on accidentally, such as the interior lights?
mine took about 27 days to run down in my garage, an '08. but I now have a battery tender that I use during the winter months when the car gets used a lot less.
Might be a loose battery cable. should not be a problem, call onstar from a cell phone and they should get you started, dealer should fix problem on warranty. Had a friend with a new BMW 325 which went dead... so corvette is not unique. these things are more of an inconvenience than a major problem...
I just replaced mine the other day (actually the dealer did at no cost). Immediately went out and puchased a battery tender to avoid facing another dead battery. Of course, it would help if I drove it more often.

Dah...totally forgot about OnStar but they couldn't start the car. This thing was totally dead, even the clock reset to 12:00.

They send out a guy to jump start you or check your cables, genius
Perhaps you should consider showing other members a little more respect, Noob.
The context of his reply and the post he was replying to first and foremost didn't concern you. Secondly, if you read what was written it didn't look like call them for a tow. It looked like call them and they flip a switch and you'll start right up. Much call them and they'll unlock your doors.
Smart attitude like that plays on other forums. It doesn't really play all that well around here.
I am having the same problem as you with my 2005 but it take about 2 wks to go dead.I have been all over the the net and here is what answers I have gotten.
A bad contact between the alt. and battery.
Could be the Passive Entry software drawing all the time and there is a software update.
Could be Onstar of another plug in like a radar detector. You could pull the Onstar fuse if you don't use it.
Could be a defective battery!
Reprogram the FOB receiver.
A lot of people said if you leave it for a period of time, put in a battery tender to trickle charge the battery. This is the one I am going to do after I put in a new battery.
