Default The economy and Corvettes.....

I'll spare you guys the fine details however I am still in a slight haze over the fact that I was able to pull this off. Let me just tell you guys that if you are thinking about buying a vette, and you have the means,....now is the time to do it. To make a long story short, I made a pitch to a semi local dealer for a 2700 mile Z06 that they had. I made a VERY aggressive pitch based on how crappy I think the market is. A few phone calls later...they took it! I am now in a fully loaded 08 Z06 for a previously unimaginable price. I have been saying that for big money it wasn't worth it for me to go to a Z however for a really killer deal, I would do it. It happened!

If you have been eyeing the car that you want and you have a price in mind that you haven't thrown out there because you feel there is no way the dealer would take it, take a shot at it. As buyers we really are at an advantage right now. Take advantage of the situation and take a shot at it. Just be serious about it because they might just accept.

Pictures coming later....

Congratulation on your purchase, the reason you got a good deal is because they gave the other owner next to nothing for it.

Oh, I know. I figured as much and finally was able to take advantage of that in my favor.

Congradulations on your Z06!

Now is definitely a great time to be in the market for a Corvette. I'm going to have to keep my eyes open for a good deal on a Z06.

Did the same thing on a 05 Coupe last week. I had to do the whole walking out to my car and getting ready to leave before they woke up and smelled a real sale and took my offer.

the viper now belongs to a guy in South Carolina. Saw it at a car show and long story short, he offered me more than I had in it. If you go through as many cars as I do, you know that doesn't happen too often. I took advantage of it. Still an awesome car though. A super modern muscle car. No regrets owning it and glad to have had it.
