Default Finally got a C6!!!!

Have waited for a few years..but I finally pulled the trigger! Went to Kerbeck and picked up a black '09 (3LT,Z51,NPP,MN6...) yesterday!!! What a beast..I had managed to steer clear of the temptation unitl I made the mistake of test driving an '08 a few weeks back. Had always thought there wasn't that much difference between the 5's and the 6's. I was wrong. I love my C5. But Chevy did really create a nasty beast this time... Argh... Gonna go have some fun!!! I'll post some pics later.

Yes, the upgrade from the C5 to the C6 is incredible. Especially to the later model C6's with their improved steering and the 430hp LS3. Ed's Mild2Wild is a must mod for your new ride...call immediately. It turns your new beast into a wild beast! Enjoy the ride...

Good luck with it pal. Got mine from Kerbeck as well. Great experience.
Good luck not staying within the "break in" guidelines....I certainly didn't.

Congratulations and Enjoy your C6.

My wife was disappointed when she first saw that I traded the C5 for a C6. She didn't think it could be that much better. One afternoon drive and she was convinced it was a better car. She still likes the smooth lines of the C5 over the C6.

Same thing with my wife. She liked the front end of our C5 and the C6 is completely different. One drive and she too became a believer!

Another observation I have on the C6 that's probably been touched on already is the open air feeling with the top off. Having the top off on the C6 seems almost vert like compared to the C5. Anyone else notice this??

Default Congradulations!

Congradulations on your new upgrade!
The C6 is truely a work of art.
I ended up with two this year.
The wife had one on order, and when she got it I could no longer sit back in my C5 Z06 and have her blow my doors off
I upgraded, now my doors stay intact.

Enjoy!

Clinton,

I didn't know there were other C6 owners on the forum from Greenville. You need to come hang out with Modshack and I sometime. I've seen a yellow Z06 around town but didn't know who it belonged to. I haven't seen your JSB coupe though. Love that JSB.

I just got my '08 JSB last night. The difference between my '02 vert and this one is significant. The NPP exhaust will be added Monday but I ordered the M2W and splash guards today.

Throughout the 1980'2; I was never a fan of the C4 regardless of the Lotus sourced ZR-1 engine option and hence never owned a C4.

I was completely intrigued with the C5 and though that it was absolutely stunning when it first arrived on the scene, but again never pulled the trigger on a C5 as well.

I purchased a new JSB 08 C6 with the 3LT, Z51, NPP and A6 options on 12/31/07.

Unfortunately; I don't have a basis of comparison and I would be very interested to hear how in your opinion the new LS3 C6 compares to your previously owned C5?
