I always give them a TIP, " Dude, if you F*@k up my car you won't live to see tomorrow" worked so far....
Great Tip!!!
I don't tip. If the car comes out without any damage, items fixed, and doesn't cough up a bunch of smoke when I drive, I feel lucky that they finally did their job for a change.
If the guy does the work he is supposed to do then his salary from the dealership is his reward. If he does a less than satisfactory job the dealership should be made aware. If they retain his services after doing a less than satisfactory job, find another dealership.
There is far too much "tipping" of people who already are paid good wages. Restaurant waiters etc, are a different story, but if too many others start getting tips, then they begin looking for them all the time from everyone, then the guy that doesn't tip gets the screw job - that's not the correct way to do things. DON'T TIP those who are merely doing their job that are already paid very high wages.

I make sure when speaking with the service writer or whom ever they know how **** I am with my car. So far as to detail spray the car when I arrive before anyone touches it. When someone touches it or works on it from that point.....they respect it, I respect that & tip accordingly. If they do not respect that....they will have a bad day.
