Default What's a good price on a used C6?

I'm a C5 guy looking to move up but I have to start researching what the going rates are. What's a good price on a used C6 in terms of mileage and year? How much are options worth? Auto or Man etc? Thanks

Default How big is a dog?

Good price is somewhere between $30k and $75k depending on whether it's an '05, '06, '07, '08, or '09...coupe, vert, Z06...1LT, 2LT, 3LT...etc.

The value of the options...HUD, NAV, NPP, Z51, F55, etc...depends on the buyer.

Good luck with your search.

I had a little idea $30k would be a good starting point.

Brand new LT-1's are offered at 38K now. They are strippers but they're 38K also.

I'm curious as to what is the lowest price you guys have seen a C6 selling for, that isn't a wrecked up car or a rebuild?

Up here in Toronto, I just spotted the first C6 priced at under $30k in the Auto Trader this morning. When I check the US Auto Trader I notice that the lowest priced C6 in there right now is just under $29k. Has anyone seen a decent condition C6 selling for $25k US or less?

If you are looking for a really nice low mileage C6, I would look to pay in the $35K range. Yes, you can find some at lower prices, but be extra careful. Usually, you get what you pay for. Good luck.

3 months ago i got my 05 maxed out with factory options for $34K with 6,040 miles. It was local so no travel/delivery expenses, and it had all the bells and whistles i was looking for so i was more than willing to pay an extra one or two thousand dollars. Other 05's i saw were one or two thousand dollars cheaper but with 20K to 30K+ miles and tires were not so new. To replace all tires on a C6 is about $1,500+

this was 3 months ago, so now you may easily find some good low mileage c6's for $32 or $33K

.....you usually do get what you pay for... good luck!!

Then buy one! they're out there. Just have to find the one. If you ask me, your question is far too wide in scope. Narrow it down, and say what you want as far as options go, and whether you want a "beater." If you want the latter, I'd drop the price even lower than $30K. If you want almost pristine but at the top end, it might go to $75K.

Obviously depends on options and condition of car. A high mileage one could easily go for slightly under $28K-$30K but it will probably be pretty beat up. For a decent condition one look to spend $33K minimum.

I'm in a similar situation as you, however I can pin it down to essentially three or four must haves. MN6, Z51, Red or LMB along with less than 20000 miles. So far, from what I'm seeing here and elsewhere (flea-bay) mid to high 30's should get me what I want.

Like the housing market, it's a good time to buy!

Id buy a stripper 08 at 38 before an 05 in low 30"s. Too many improvements too ignore...just my opinion

30 might be a good starting point on a fairly optioned high mileage 2005 Coupe. 1SB (3LT equivalent) with a option or two and low mileage would still net $33,000 around here.

I agree. Oddest thing is they are STILL being offered ('08, 1LT, basic, no option, el strippo) for $38-$39K and that is seen to be a bargain.

Reason I say still is because they've been offered at that price* by forum and non-forum delaers all of '08 model year, and in the '07 model year, too. I don't get how that is such a great bargain as '09s are being delivered.

The car is great and well equipped, the price is not, imo, for this time of the model year.

*and about $1K more

I would buy a 2007 or later model. The 2006 C6 A6 F55 3LT NAV I had was a piece of junk, 2 1/2 years for GM to fix all the problems (delay, delay, & delay). Good luck!
