Default C6 Owners, I'm Dying To Know This.....

I'm not trying to be rude but, the average female doesn't know a lot about cars. Now my question is, have you guys ever lied to a woman about the type of car you own? The first thought that comes to mind is obviously, a ferrari. You can't tell me that it doesn't look like one, especially to an average female.

So have you ever been in a situation where you've said, "Yes, this is a ferrari" to gain an advantage?

When a women asks what kind of car I drive, I have a regular comment.

"You didn't see it outside? It's the Pinto wagon with the wood panelling and big colored flowers. Do you want a ride? "

That would be no! Very proud to drive a Corvette. Why lie, as soon as see sees the car, it says Corvette right on it. In the end, it is ALWAYS more work to lie than it is to tell the truth.

I would hope that the woman could read - if she's in the passenger seat there's this great big "sign" in front of her on the dash that says CORVETTE.

OMG. guy. Prepare to duck.

I'd BET you MY Vette that I (a lowly female) have more knowledge of cars that you'll ever hope to have. In fact, the old saying "I've forgotten more than you'll ever know" comes to mind here.

GEEZE-US! I thought all the cavemen were working for Geico now.

Well, in a similar vein, a lady I used to car pool with mistook my corvette for a BMW. Now granted this was 5:30 AM, still dark and she was barely awake as she was getting in the car, And she is not a car person but I did have to chuckle a little. It's still a joke between us and this was 4 years ago.
And as to women knowing about cars? Quite a few do, There is a lady who writes a column for the BMWCCA magazine who is a whiz with cars. Her knowledge and abilities would probably put most of us guys to shame.

Why would I say it's a Ferrari? It's a Corvette and I'm proud to have one.

This is your third post here. Your first one you say you came here to learn more about Corvettes. Then you ask a ridiculous question like that? Why dont you come back when you mature some.

I can't remember ever having been asked that question. If someone did ask that, why would I want to lie about it?
