Why did your fobs need to be re-programmed? And when you say that your passenger window wouldn't go up, do you mean that the window wouldn't go up or down with the switch or that the window didn't go up when you closed the door and needed to be re-indexed?
According to the shop, when you put in a new battery, the fobs lose the program and have to be redone. What happened was that I could lower my passenger side window from the driver's seat switch when I closed the door and the car was on, but I could not raise it back up from the driver's seat switch. The window did go up and down, however, but only when using the passenger side switch. Thanks for any feedback. Sure hope I was not taken.

New battery does NOT require FOB reprogramming.
I had a similar window switch problem with my C5.
I only fixed it because a friend did the work for cheap.

As Hoonose posted, the fobs do not need to be reprogrammed when the battery is replaced. So you were taken for at least $100 (probably more). Time to find a new shop.
Thanks for the help. I am calling the Corvette line today to verify what you told me. I will also report this dealership. It is the biggest in Broward County as far as Vet sales and auto body work.

I had the exact same problem with my 2007MN6, however i was not charged a dime. Everything was covered under warranty. Is there any particular reason why your warranty didn't cover the repairs?
I went through 3 batteries and the reflash after the second battery. So far so good. 3 years, 3 batteries and a computer fix.
VERY unusual, if ever for '06 manual.
DBS was/is almost strictly '05 manual, with just a few early '06's, and I don't recall any of them being manuals. But a few might have been, I just don't recall anyone reporting/confirming DBS with '06 manual here on the forum.
But NOT typical for any '06.
We went over this ad nauseum and extensively a few years back.
Unless there is some new news or development that I missed...

There was no classic "DBS" after the 2005 model year, since it was an issue directly related to the shift to reverse requirement. There were other issues that may have caused battery drain in the 2006 also, as well as automatic transmission cars. All the various factors that may have affected both the 2005 and 2006 model years were supposedly addressed in the reflash. There was a list of all the battery issues posted here a while ago, and it was quite extensive!
