Last night while driving my new 08 C6 I was heard a strange sound that I haven't heard before. It sorta sounds like a card in a kids bycycle spokes. It's rather faint and can only be heard when I am moving. I have an LS3 MN6. If I am sitting at a stop light with or with out the clutch in I can't hear it. If the clutch is in it also doesn't make the noise. It is only when I have the car under power that I can hear it. It's no louder with the windows down as with them up and if the air is on more then low it drowns it out.
I have no idea if this is a normal sound or not. I don't recall hearing it before, but I only have 150 miles on the car. Just wondering if this is a normal sound or something I should have looked at, thanks.
Should be easy to find. If it only happens when the car is in motion then it has to be related to some rotational issue. Check each wheel well and under the car for some stray piece that is flapping in the wind. It could be a sticker or something like that.
I have the same set up but no noise - engine does make a ticking sound around 2000 rpms which may be what you are hearing if that is the range of engine speed you are at. otherwise, sounds like you may have a dealer visit in your future
