I would like to make a statement of how this forum can change someone's outlook on one of many issues. This one pertains to the Z51 badges.
If I had not found this wonderful world of Corvette owners, I would have ordered the badges (not sure which ones) and installed them to my liking. When I had my 74 and 75 Corvette's, I put the L48 badges on the hood of both and received many compliments. I work for a Chevy dealer and we "badge" stuff up all the time and sell these "limited editions" as customers never see them elsewhere so they buy from us. All cosmetic and no enhancements to suspension or engine mods.
So I ordered the Z51 decals from the Corvette Forum shop and got them on Friday. I had all the plans to put them on Saturday so I walk out to the car and look at the side and it's all black and sleek and shiney and I have this little forum voice in my head saying "we don't need no stinkin' badges" and I don't put them on. I haven't decided totally against it and I just can't believe how the "forum" has gotten into my head!! When I was at the OBI on Sunday morning, what do you think I'm looking at? All of the C6's with Z51, C6, etc. badges and I didn't know if these guys frequent these boards. If they did, what were they thinking?
Oh well, at least I ordered my "vanity" plate and I like it just fine.

I would love to see some up close pics of Z 51 badges (real ones guys, no photo shoppin') on some C6's, I would even like to see some Zo6 badges on a non Zo6 or Z51 Vette, just to stir the pot...

Some people put racing stripes on their vettes TOO!! Can the Badge Police enforce the GM Pure Stock Criminal Code against these scofflaws also?? 
If so, I've got an underground railroad for them. But we all have to hide out until they move on to checking tire brands.

I say put the Z51 decal on the hood ON the stripe!
Now that's what I'm talking about!
How about this new location? This way, as I'm zipping past the competition and they can't see my cross-drilled rotors, they'll know what suspension I have.

I wish my car came from Joisey so I could do that.
The question is, if you buy a Jersey car in NY, the dealer gets reimbursed for that so can you really put it on the car??

Billet Z51 Emblems-22.3 additional HP each
Z51 Decals-16.4 additional HP each
Plastic Z51 Emblems-19.7 additional HP each
I opted for the 1 decal for the rear because it adds the 16.4 to the rear wheels.
When you do the 2 Billet emblems (one each side), it adds the 44.6 HP to the back of the tranny (by the rear wheels).
Overall, depending on location can mean almost as much as the type of emblem.

In its own very wierd way, this is actually a pretty entertaining thread.
BTW, my name is Mike and I own a Z51 C6 coupe. My therapist and most of the members of my support group say that if putting Z51 badges on my car would help me to raise my level of self esteem without detracting from that of anyone else, I should empower myself to add them and not worry about what anyone else thinks. Would that be OK with everyone here?
