curious about racing
how does one get your car involved in a closed course track without joining a high dollar club like lime rock. ive been to drag tracks and there ok. id like to open up my car legally on a track. or perhaps a amature event. is there a club that shares expense etc.

Check the various track web sites and you might find an open day on the schedule. Just have to pay the fee, sign the release and wear a helmet, generally do not allow convertibles.

See if there's a club within a reasonable distance - - most will have driver's schools or controlled speed events depending on the proximity to tracks. It's educational, safe and is a great way to enjoy the performance of your car !
