Default Keyed Vette

Vette got keyed last night by some low life loser. All the way from the back quarter panel, thru the door, front fender and on the hood and bumper. Progressive is comical! They say the rear quarter panel and door need repainting. But the front fender, hood and front bumper will buff out. They gave me a estimate for $950 bucks. I had already taken it to a body shop this morning and the estimate was for $2000. I took Progressive recomendation for body shops, which the one they have on there list is one of the best in the city. So, they can fight it out for there low ball quote.

You would be surprised at what will buff out but the body shop will determine the actual repairs needed. I had some tooling marks (probably from the factory) from what looked like the end of an air ratchet gun on my WS6 years back. Looked like it was down to the primer cause you could see and feel the depth of the grooves. A body shop guy just sanded it down and buffed it. Looked perfect afterwards.

I will never understand why people would want to key a car?

Simple, they're a-holes and don't respect others' property.

I'm sorry to hear about your car. Good luck on getting it fixed. I know words can't begin to help though.

Man, I'm really sorry to hear about that. I've been just hoping and praying it doesn't happen to me. I've only had my vette about two months and I'm scared to death someone wants to F with it. First time I took it to the store, some ahole put about ten shopping carts in a circle around it just to be a jerk. good look with the repair.

I have Progressive and they were great to deal with last year when a deer smashed up my fender and scratched the hood. Their first estimate missed a couple scratches and was off by a good bit but they met with the body shop and it all worked out.

I've said it a hundred times...I just don't understand the point in destroying someone elses property. If your life sucks so badly that you have to key a car to feel better definitely seek help!

That's kind of funny to think about, but had I caught him doing it, he would've had a very bad day.
