Long story short --- I tried Meguires NXT Tech Wax 2 today and f'n WOW
I've used Zaino, Rejex, Zumol. None of them could "pop" out the metalic luminesense like NXT. The shine is crisp and crystal clean. And it wipes on and wipes off GREAT!
Short story long ---
Before I bought my 06 Monterey Red Vert. I went to every dealership from Hampton Roads to Greensboro looking at the Monty Red color.
Sometimes the cars were dirty and the color doesn't show well dirty (what color does?). Sometimes it was cloudy and hard to see the luminesense of the gold metalic.
Once I bought one and got it home there was always an opaque/milky looking coating. Probably oxidation due to acid rain as it sat on the lot for four months in Atlanta. I tried all of the top shelf brands and was never really impressed. None of them could get thru the very faint milky/opaqueness. I was ready to do a 3M Polishing Compound treatment and "strip" off the oxidation. I was literaaly down to my last attempt with waxes/polishes when I tried the NXT.
I am damn glad I tried it because it has awakened/renewed/restored that beautiful gold metallic glow that sets Monterey Red apart from all other Corvette colors.

Exact same thing here! I tried them all and always went back to Zaino. Then I tried the NXT 2 on my Monteray Red and I'm totally sold!
Yes, I've used a lotta stuff, and I keep coming back to Meguiar's NXT. Altho I have to tell you on a black car (not the Vetteski), I did a winter comparo putting 3 "strips" of NXT, Eagle One Nanowax, and Meguiar's Pro Poly Glaze. They all held up the same to winter, slush, snow, ice, dirt, and washings. And I could clearly see the difference, if there was to be any, since it was on the hood.
Good for you. I'm glad it worked. I'm here to tell you that stuff works pretty well on a brand new Crystal Red Met. Corvette as well. It did darken the color a little and that's OK.
The kicker is it's for sale at Wally World at a bargain price. Got to smile at the greeter at the door though.

Black Magic rated a lot higher in Consumer Reports.
I've used it three times and it kicks ****.
Then again, I haven't tried NXT for myself. Maybe I should.

Weird, I tried NXT tech wax 2.0 on my artic white this weekend and while it shines very good, it does not look as good as Zaino did on my white car. It is much more difficult to apply (since you are not supposed to hit plastic or rubber) and required much more work removing it than Zaino. It seems to attract dust rather than repel it unlike Zaino. Oh well now that it is done we will see if it lasts as long as Zaino.

Ha Ha, yeah I forgot to mention that it's available EVERYWHERE for a REASONABLE price..!
Got mine at Advance Auto. No more online ordering and paying twice the price! Hell, Corvettes are mass produced. It only makes sense to use a product aimed at the masses.
I also used and love the way NXT 2.0 turned out...But,...now keep that fresh look with the Meg. #135 Syntheic spray detailer...has polymers that cure over a 12 hour period...gives it that nice wet look shine everyone wants...

We been trying to tell for how long now?? Welcome to the Meg club.
Pics would be nice to.
Oh try this next time; use the softest fluffiest microfiber you can find and buff as you use the NXT. Ohh yeah baby, oohhh

I have been using both the paste and liquid NXT 2.0. Really makes my Machine Silver look great. I used the Meguiars Clay Bar kit first, then put on the wax. Bought it all at Wally World.
I have used every brand of wax on the face of the planet. Very impressed with the NXT 2.0
I've pretty much always been a Meguiar's guy. I'm also old school, so I have never tried any of their "polymer" products (whatever that means). After reading all the results of users on this forum, I'm thinking I'll give NXT a try -- next time.
Thanks
I still have a bottle of the original NXT Tech wax (non 2.0). How much better is the 2.0? Does it last longer?
I used to use NXT and now I use the new version 2.0 and it definitely lasts WAY longer! It also attracts less dust, hides swirl marks a little better, and repels water amazingly well.
