Default Help on 2008 Pricing

Can some of you REAL number people help me figure what to pay for my 2008 purchase of my 4th vette. 430hp coupe.(I've had 3 previous corvettes). My current yellow 2004 only has 13,000 mi on it,(in 46 months)

Forget lease or purchase or trade, what would the best number be ?

The 08 car lists for $ 59,659. Its a 3LT,financing by GMAC (my existing lein holder on my 2004). GMAC is offereing 48 months, I have a 800 + beacons "score", not being cocky, jusy giving some details)

I'm not worried about approval. Bachrodt has a flyer mailed to me that says $7,555 off the car with the 0% finanacing over 48 months. There has to be some money left on the table with GMs' $$$$$ problems. I wanted to go 10k off list until they printed the $ 7,555 discount this week ANY metallic color, just has to have paddles shift,hud,430hp.

Is $15k crazy unrealistic taken off of $59659, to a comapny that says it' near Chapter 11?

15K off is unreasonable. GM is not going broke at the moment, they are burning cash, but they have enoungh to get through this retooling and I ordered an 09 and got 17% off MSRP so that would equate to about 10K off MSRP on your 08 and that is a very good deal

If you're looking for a real deal and you have to have a new car. I was on Les Stanfords website a day or two ago and they still had some brand new 2007 models. You could probably find some dealers in the S. Fl area that also have some new 2007's

Here is my experience but remember I "AM CANADIAN"
The guy down the street from me had a 2001 convert with 50000 km ( 30000 mile) in Pewter on black, very nice. He did a deal on a 2007 convert that listed up here for (are you sitting down ) 96,000.00!!
It was a full load with nav and xm sat, every possible factory option.
He bought the car this time last year ( summer blow out ) for a total diff paid of 33,000.00 + Taxes. The Corvette dealer showed him 63,000 for his 2001 on trade!?!?
NO! I don't think getting 15000.00 off MSRP is out of the question!!
But thats just me and remember.... "I AM CANADIAN!!"

Did this dealer work out of a warehouse with a back alley entrance that was only open at night by appointment?

Some good advice here -- including raising your questions in the C6 section. In addition, go on the internet, and research dealer cost on a new Vette with options you want. One place to start is www.nada guides.com under "New Cars." That way, you can see if $15K off MSRP on a 2008 is possible. (It's not)

GM is not going broke, just suffering from lack of adlult leadership. Vettes remain in high demand, sell out every year, and get great gas mileage. Where they are hurting is with Suburbans, Tahoes, and trucks.

Also remember, a cars on a dealer's lot get more expensive every day becaused most are financed through GMAC. (The longer they sit on the lot, the more interest they have to pay which lowers their profit.) If you can find a dealer with allotment remaining, you may be able to save some $ by ordering exactly the car you want. For best deal, you need patience, careful research, a sympathetic dealer, and cash. Happy hunting!

Fantastic pricing and negoiation, GMS and slightly below. Per my calc that would be 11-12K off on an 08.
