ok, i know this is the C6 general section but everyone knows its the most active so for the sake of the forum rules this is a "C6" i am talking about.
I am lookin at buying a car, but the current owner did not transfer the registration when he bought the car. My question is, if everything is paid up for it, no lein etc etc. can the registration be transferred to my name? I live in New Brunswick Canada if that makes a difference.

It sounds like a problem waiting to happen. Why did the current owner not transfer the registration? You would be better asking in the Canadian Events section. You would be more likely to find someone who knows a little more than us Yanks.

Don't know about Canada, but here in NC that can't be done if the title has been assigned to that middle person. The current owner would be responsible for titling it (and paying taxes) in his name before he could in turn sell it to a third party... Check with your Dept. of Motor Vehicles or equivalent so you don't get burned.
The best guesses and info will come from your Canadian "brothers". Other than obvious civil issues, here in the states, you might have legal State and Federal (Provincial) problems.
