To compare, you really need to say what your liability limits, and other coverages are. Full coverage does not tell the whole story.

WOW! 1k deductible! I have $250 deductible and carry 100,000/300,000 liability limits and pay $700 a year.

$306 every 6 mo.

$500K-$1M liability
$500 deduct on collision and comp.
no deduct. on glass coverage.

I was absolutely amazed when the agent quoted me the cost. It is less than each of the other 2 vehicles.....which is now lower, as well.

Whats your coverage... 10k lol... thats insane and you probably have horribly low coverage on that policy. Your not getting those rates in FL, I see you guys are from like OR and TX, AZ, WI and you guys have coupes. I pay 1,000/yr and have 150/300,000 coverage with a $500 deductible. 05 C6 Vert

I pay $882.00 per year (Travelers Insurance) here in No. CA, living in the East Bay area for an 05 C6. I have:
A - 250K/500K
B - 100K
C - 5K
D1 - 100K/300K
Coll. - ACV/500 ded.
Comp. - ACV/100 ded.
Waiver of Coll. ded. and rental reimbursement

This is less ($100) than my motorcycle (2006 H-VROD, Foremost Ins. Co. coverage) policy and slightly more ($75) than my 07 PT Cruiser convertible (no accidents ever on any of my vehicles).

I figure I'm getting a decent deal all around (considering CA is an "at fault' state). Although, the m/c policy might be a little overpriced because Harley's are expensive to insure here in CA (my experience).

Every state is different with rates. If you think it is a good rate, you keep it, if not then you shop around...Liability is a big factor with rates...

I had the same experience going from a 99 Cobra to an '06 C6. Total was about 10% less for the year. I already knew why but got the explanation that C6's tended to have more "mature" owner/driver's (in more ways than one ) with far fewer accidents, and that parts tend to cost more and are harder to find for cars as they get older.

AMEN! Age, state even how far you live from a major city and how litigious that area is will impact your rates so these types of questions can only be used to go "wow, he gets raped" and nothing else.

Also, how many cars you have and whether you garage your car or take it to work and how far away work is all contribute to the cost. But saying all that I'll play along...

I'm 41 years old have 4 cars. The Corvette is not the most expensive car I insure my DD Volvo is the most expensive and my 02 Camaro is the least expensive because I carry specialty insurance on that.

My coverage is as follows...

250,000/500,000 Bodily Injury
100,000 Property damage
250,000/500,000 Underinsured/Uninsured motorist
100,000 Property damage
100 Towing Limit
50/1500 Rental Coverage
250/250 Deductible collision/comprehensive
Full Tort

595.00 per year.
