Default shipping solution

A neighbor's brother recently got into the auto shipping biz. He was through town on a job and I asked him how he found work. Most of his jobs come from www.uship.com. A Craigslist/eBay type marketplace for shipping all kinds of things. Including cars. Post your product (car), its location and destination for free. Shippers bid on the job and you arrange with them. You pay a shipping deposit on the agreed price through the website which is their profit. Then settle with the shipper on delivery. He has been busy non stop for several months using this source. Kind of the Lending Tree of shipping.

Uship is an interesting concept. I once got quotes from guys with everything from a Dolly pulled by a pick-up to a horse trailer. I'd say Buyer beware. Lowest quote "May" mean lowest service and equipment..

If I'm going to ship I will always go with a reputable company. I would rather pay a fair market price and have piece of mind. A good reputation speaks for itself.
