Tinting window on a Vert

I want to tint the windows on my covertible. Is there any problem with tinting the rear window with the defroster wires?

I had a C6 convertible that came with that junk from the dealer and I managed to remove it without permanent damage. It was pretty new when I scrapped it, though.

The rear window on the vert is no different than any other rear window on a car that has the defroster wires, except its nice and small and flat...so it should be easier to tint. But I'm not understanding what "that junk" is...are you talking about the defroster wires or the tint?
