Anyone noticed that driving with the windows down and top on, there is usually very little wind buffeting coming in the window? Particularly when you just have the driver's window down. For coupes anyway (which I have).
I thought it was wind direction or my imagination for awhile, but I've had my 06 for 5 months now and it's been consistent. With my 02 vert or Silverado, or virtually any other car, driving with the window down, at highways speeds has always meant a blast of air coming in.
Perhaps it's the contours of the car. Whatever it is, I really like it.
now with the top off, that's a different story. like it too, but lotsa wind there.
I agreee also, but at freeway speeds I have to crank the radio way, way up to hear it, so there is some turbulence inside. But no more than in any other car that I've owned.
They've come a long way. My C6 is great to drive with the drivers side window down, I even leave it down here in the AZ heat (with the AC on full of course). I remember my 63 Split Window was awful with the window down. It had an over pressure druming that really bothered your ears. ---John
Both with my C5 & now my C6 you are all correct. The wind buffeting is a lot less than any other cars I own. However, it would be even less if they put air exits out the back of the coupe. I have a couple of freinds with those hatch hold up gizmos and the difference is startling! The ony problem is your car looks stupid with those things and people stop to tell you your hatch is open! Why, when they can design a car like ours they cannot come up with a decent air flow.
