C6 steering issue - HELP
My Corvette when turning the wheel fully (or even somewhat less than till the end) to the right and to the left is jumping (hopping) vertically.
The workshop guys are telling me this is a “Corvette characteristic” and nothing can be done to resolve it.
Would you have any knowledge regarding this shameful characteristic or know any “Corvette club for issues” who might assist me?

You have wide tires and they will scrub on a tight radius turn. The rear axle is trying to push the car straight. This condition will vary, based on the driving surface, This normal for the Corvette and other performance cars with wide tires and limited slip.

Yup, this is why. It's not a Corvette problem per se.

It's more than a little disconcerting because it feels like the car is slipping --or hopping I suppose-- especially on lose road surfaces.
But it's really nothing to worry about . . . it just feels weird.
