I bought the LED lights for map lights, footwell lights, as well as license plate lights. Got the faint glow that the vendor said we wouldn't get. BTW, Mr. Vendor, my name IS NOT "BUD" like you called me in that Email.
SOOOOO, now the drivers side LED, in the map light, is FLICKERING! I really doubt the vendor will stand behind this bulb. After all, when I questioned him directly via Email about the glow, he got all pi$$ed off and gave me the afore mentioned "hey Bud" while saying I'll not have any problems.
I'm ticked now, paid way too much for a "good deal" group buy AND got crappy bulbs.
Buyer beware ... watch who you group buy from. Do some checking on past threads that may give you a clue who you are buying from and what you'll get.
Guess I'll just get some white regular bulbs.

 

A friend of mine who swapped his lights for LED's had the same problem(the ones over his rear(L/P) license plate). He's removed/ reinstalled it a few times... He's searched the forums and found the problem could be were the contacts on the bulbs meet the contacts in the sockets for the lights... I called him today after noticing one of my LED L/P bulbs flickering. He suggested pulling up on/ bending the metal contacts. I did... put the light back in, no more flickering...

Yes it did. If anyone needs to "tweak" those wires, beware. They are very fine wires and it appears that if you did the re-bending a couple of times, they would break off. I also checked the plate lights since those are not seen while driving ... out of sight, out of mind. But they were OK.

Unresolved disputes

The Forum is not in a position to monitor transactions or to determine the “true facts” in most disputes. Upon request, however, the Forum will try to intervene and mediate a settlement suitable to all parties in a dispute. When issues are resolved in the matter, it will be posted to the original dispute thread so it becomes part of the searchable record. We believe that is a more useful record of performance for potential customers than would be an eBay-style rating system.

As has been our past practice, members or vendors who show a pattern of unresolved issues will be removed from Corvetteforum.com.

Occasionally, members fail to recognize the importance of exhausting all efforts to settle an unresolved dispute, issue, or concern offline.

Such action can seriously damage the reputation of the business, the owner, their employees, or another member.

Members need to realize that when they create a thread, even if the information is factual, if they have not given the business/owner/member the opportunity to make things right, hundreds of members will still read the thread and walk away thinking less of the business and member, and could hinder future purchases.
