I have an 05 vert. The top is manual and the string that holds the two flaps on the top just broke. I was wondering if anyone else has had theirs break. I have an appointment to go to the dealer to get it looked at. They say that they have to have the car in order to order the silly piece of string. A big waste of my time. I don't understand why the piece can't just be ordered and bring the car in when they have the part. So will end up making two trips to the dealer for a string. It is still under warranty so no money loss, but my time is better spent anywhere than the dealer

Even though you know what is wrong, they need to have their service writer make it official and put it on a service order. You could probably arrange after the order is written to take the car home and return when the part comes in.
