Default How much does car settle after lowering / how long does it take?

I just purchased my first Corvette last week after owning a couple of Mustang Cobras. I knew next to nothing about the cars when I bought mine, just that I wanted one. This forum has been a wealth of information and has taught me a lot over the past week. Thanks to the threads in this forum, I installed a Corsa Extreme exhaust and a carbon fiber Z06 spoiler with ease, and today I dropped my car, which also proved incredibly easy.

I followed the advice of others and used a PVC pipe saw to cut through the rear bushings. I screwed the bolts as far up as they would go in the leaf spring. In the front I just cranked the bolts all the way up, since the consensus seems to be that the front goes low enough without cutting the bushings. After doing this, I drove the car for about 30 miles to let the suspension settle. I'm happy with the height of the rear, but the front sits just a tad higher, even when cranked all the way up. I have not heard of others having this problem. Has anyone had to cut the front bushings to get the front as low as the rear? And did I give things enough time to settle, or should I wait a few days? Also, in the fronts, there is about a 1mm gap between the top of the bushing (the metal part) and the bottom of the leaf spring. This happens with the spring jacked up so that there is no contact between the bottom of the bushing and the control arm. I cannot possibly turn the bolt any more, yet there is a very small gap there. Anyone else have this issue?

Thanks in advance....
