Is the GM mapping DVD the same for all models?

Yes but they have different versions as updates become aval.
As of right now they can all share the same discs.

Sorry, I ment Corvettes!

Thanks! My dealer gave me a mapping CD in a Caddilac DVD case (long story). Anyway it seems to be working.

On a side note: Is GM NAV way behind the curve or is it me? I have a crappy Tom-Tom with better features etc.

Not all Nav discs are made by the same company. The C6 nav system uses a database generated from Teleatlas data, whereas several other systems use databases that are based off of Navteq data. If the database you have in a Cadillac case is made for a Nav radio by the same supplier to GM it may be usable. Using a Navteq database from an Escalade will not work in the C6.

They are not all the same.
