That's what mine did. I took them off and I'm awaiting the arrival of the 09 guards.
Elmer
hhhm. interesting. was that the fronts or rears? I just took off my fronts at about 12K miles, one year (never put the rears on). they're a little scraped up on the inside---must've really wedged something hard in betw. one tire and splash guard. but otherwise, it looks ok. I think I'll go ck it just to see if I forgot how it looked.
I received 74 sets today. I shipped out 74 sets today and spent 1 1/2 entering tracking numbers.. that was great!
I am to receive about another 50 sets next Tuesday. I have enough customers in the system for those yet still.
But, if you'd like to order them, do what everyone else has done and input an order into the website. I log them according to order number, date and time, etc. When I get shipments in, I now bill them out and ship them.
To order, go to the home page at www.gmpartshouse.com. Click where it says search by gm part number. Use part number 19170234 under Chevrolet make.

Thanks, Gene.
These things have turned out to be a hot item indeed. It's great to hear that you're doing so well with them Gene.
I've had a set of Ed's guards on my coupe for roughly a year and a half and they have done a great job at offering protection. At the price that Ed offers them for it's a deal that's hard to beat.
The one thing though that convinced me to try the GM guards is that I have noticed Ed's guards are starting to get a windswept look to them and that is, in my opinion, detracting from their appearance and making them more noticable. So, I'm going with GM's guards since they look to me like they will be less susceptible to that effect.
As you can see they are not very wide so some water spray and stuff carried by the water (dirt, leaves, etc.) will hit the side of the car. But it's going to stop rocks, pebbles and the sort from hitting and the side of the car that's all I care about. If you want functional but cheap looking get the flat plastic ones. These are a great compromise for those that don't want to see the guards.
I use Cleartastic in the summer, then remove them and use Ed's flat ones in the winter. I wouldnt mind using the new GM ones in the Winter but would prefer not using the adhesive. You think they would hold on without using the tape?
btw-I still think that the free air mod of yours gives you as much performance as the CAI's.
Thanks for all of the orders. Get your orders in and I'll get you taken care of.
Hey Gene, Remember that I wasn't worried about being in a rush for my mud guards? Well, my car was delivered to the dealer on Friday and my guards will be at my home on Tuesday! That sounds like it will work out perfectly. Next will be my full width rear spoiler so get me an Atomic Orange Metallic spoiler ready for me in the next week!
For siffert,
You must use the two sided tape for these to be installed. I think that after you install them and see how well they fit and how they enhance the look of the wheel wells you will agree that there is no need or desire to ever remove them. They should be standard from the factory like the ZO6.

Thanks for the offer. However, only the rear splash guards were starting to curl and I am happy with the service your product provided.
Our car is used mostly for trips and almost all of the miles are at 70-75 mph. I believe this was the reason the rear, lower guard started to curl and there is not any defect in the guards themselves (which have protected the car well).
As I said in an earlier post, I think your guards are still the best option for Museum delivery since they can be installed easily in the parking lot before you leave for home.
I'm still a fan of Ed's. At least they hang down far enough to keep stuff from blasting up from underneath them. And how they look is pretty much immaterial because you really don't notice them anyway.
