Anyone know where I can find a diagram of a headliner install??
The diagram in the manual actually shows very little. The instructions are as follows:
Remove the roof panel.
Remove the headliner from the roof panel by peeling away the glued areas.
Remove any adhesive residue from the contact area of the roof panel headliner.
Installation Procedure
Caution
Do not attempt to repair or alter the head impact energy-absorbing material glued to the headliner or to the garnish trims. If the material is damaged, replace the headliner and/or the garnish trim. Failure to do so could result in personal injury.
Remove the protective covering from the adhesive on the headliner contact areas.
Install the headliner to the roof lift-off panel.
Place the forward edge of the headliner against the forward frame of the roof.
Press firmly on the adhesive contact areas to engage the adhesive.
Sorry I should have been more specific, We're talking about a convertible, my main concern is all the little strings (cords) that run along both sides of the back window flaps viewable when in the halfway position. anyway need to locate attachment points. mine are loose (not attached on one end)

Oh. When you said headliner, I thought coupe. I think what you are describing are the tension cables. I think you might get what you need from this image.
Wow Thx, That looks like the area eventhough I can't make out the angle from which this is drawn, Note they are not cables they are pretty much black strings
What is the #1 pointing to?

Strings, rope, steel or otherwise, they are called tension cables. #1 is pointing to a tension cable screw. This is the other diagram in the repair instruction.
Remove the weatherstrip and the retainer from the rear side rail. Refer to Folding Top Weatherstrip, Retainer Replacement .
Raise the top cover flap and remove the screw (1) attaching tension cable to the rear side rail.
Position the top with the #1 bow and the #5 bow up.
