I have just bought a 2005 vett and was told that there was some sort of code that would allow the DVD/Navigation system to play DVD Movies. IS this true, and if so, does anyone have this code and the procedure how it is done?
There's a widely held belief that there is a code can be entered on the touch screen to enable video DVD playback. As far as we know no one has discovered that code, or at least they haven't shared it with CF. Even it such a code exists, it should be obvious that the NAV's screen resolution isn't really capable of displaying movies very well at all.
No code has been found as of yet....many threads....one very long one...have been started to try and figure out how to do this.
There is a company that will hard wire in the necissary wires for an external DVD player to display on the screen as I recall, but you have to send them the head unit.
