The Sport seats that come with the 2LT are a little nicer, plus you get power seats. You also get side airbags.

I debated this myself and went the 2LT route. The sports seats are worth it!

I went the 3LT route and like the memory, heated seats, telescoping wheel etc. The GMS pricing sure helped.

I think the upgrade is a small extra price. HOWEVER if you ever sell I think it would be much harder to sell the "stripped down" model rather than the "loaded" one. Just my .02

I went with the 1LT as I usually drive alone and was planning to replace the OEM radio with the Kenwood in-dash navigation. If you are keeping the OEM stuff, the 2LT includes Bluetooth (love it!). The seats, IMO are a wash..., the airbags should be standard on ALL vettes. For me, the choice really came down to 1LT and 3LT. I chose to spend the difference on other upgrades (new wheels, strips, Kenwood Nav, M2W exhaust and soon, a good tune).

Bottom line seems to be "Get the car you want." For me, color, RC8 (museum delivery) and tranmission (A6) were my MOST important options...

As for "is the 2LT worth it," yes, it is one of the better "get what you pay for" options, all things considered. Resale, 2LT does not do much (if anything). If resale is an issue for you, get 3LT, which is the most popular option, and remember, that options have much higher depreciation than the car itself.

Yes it is worth it. The perforated sports seats with adjustable lumbar is worth it, but most importantly are the side air bags. We sometimes neglect safety features, but for the price of the 2LT upgrade, the side air bags alone are worth it. Also, the cargo shade gives privacy and sunlight protection for the hatch area. The cargo net prevents small items from sliding around in the back. Also you have an interior color choice, unlike the 1Lt ebony only. So, yes I highly recommend the 2LT trim level. Good luck

The bolsters on the sport seats are too narrow for me, they are the only way to get a colored interior but if you want black anyway, save your money and get the 1LT.

i like the 2lt becasue the 1lt only has black seats and i wanted red interior. the 2lt seats are a little better feeling and they look nicer than the black in the 1lt. the pass power seat is no big sale to me. the rear cargo cover and net are a 100 option so thats easy to fix on a 1lt. the airbags are a good deal so for 1495 option for the 2lt, im ok with that. now the 3lt is a waste to me. 4895 for heads up which is cool but not 5 grand cool, heated seats im in texas dont need that, memory seats uh im not that lazy, and a bose radio which sucks pretty bad to me. i out a pioneer nav in my 2lt its louder and plays dvds and my ipod cable is hidden. oh and it inly cost 1200 installed the factory nav is 1850 and so not worth it, if oyu have the top out you can hardly hear the stock radio with nav, my pionner rocks the windows.

BIGGEST REASON NO 3LT HORRIBLE RESALE.

if i wanted black interior i would have done 1lt.

LOL at the resale comments. That is rubbish. All resale is bad right now and i gaurantee that when you sell used the 1lt guy sells for the same as your 3lt minus what you paid in the initial difference or less. Not to mention weight is weight. Some people prefer stripped vs loaded.

I felt better in the 1LT seats. I got the 1LT with Z51 6MN NPP and chrome wheels, bought a garmin nav. Very happy with the car.

Perhaps it would be harder to sell to the audience on this forum but in the outside world I dont think it would be difficult... it would just sell for less than a 2LT or 3LT....

I just bought a 1LT. The important things to me were JSB, Polished wheels and paddle shifter.

The '02 vert that I traded in was the same as a 3LT I guess - it was loaded - and I have to say that I intend to trade my '08 in three years. If I do I will pay the extra to have the 3LT and I will have MN6. I miss the memory seats, HUD and telescopic wheel.

Had to have 2LT for the side airbags. It was a bonus it had the two tone black and red seats : )
