Default Removing NPP

Can one of you technical guys tell me if I will have everything needed to reinstall the NPP exhaust system that I am removing from my 2009 Z-06 onto another Z-06? I know that to install it onto a non Z-06 you need an adapter for the difference in pipe sizes. When they remove it will everything necessary come off with it (controller, switches?) do I need to TELL them to remove anything? I am installing Corsa Sports w/ crossover pipe.

OK....now I have learned something,...... Z-06 exhaust is not the same as NPP...... the M2W switch works with it...... what is the difference other than the 4" pipes? The window sticker just calls it "duel mode".

No, I am not going to take it off of mine and put it on another Z-06, but I thought someone may want it for theirs and I wanted to make sure that it could be re-installed on either another Z-06 or someone could use an adapter to fit a non Z-06.

Maybe it being different from the NPP is why I don't care for the sound when everyone else seems to love the NPP. This thing resonates REALLY BAD at ANY constant speed.... it would be UNBEARABLE on the highway.

Thanks to you guys for the input....any further comments and/or assistance will be appreciated. If this system has no value to anyone I will probably just have the dealer get rid of it.

I have Z06 dual mode on my C6. The Z06 dual mode has 3" pipes and the NPP tips have little holes on the inside of the tips. Other than that I think there pretty much the same.

You serious saying NPP is unbearable on the highway? huh? I always have my NPP valves wide open and during constant cruise it was almost dead silent (again this is with valves fully open highway speed to). Then I even installed long tube headers and it was still almost silent during any cruise speed with valves open. You sure you don't have a hole in your exhaust :-) NPP is not even anything near loud at any constant speed with the valves open. During acceleration is when it makes some noise.

I have the entire Z06 exhaust installed on my 05. I guess you are not happy with the drone at about 1500 RPM with the flaps open. You can adjust the flaps if you are not happy with sound.

In any case you might want to list your exhaust in the parts for sale section as there are a few of us who have installed the entire exhaust as well as only the H pipe back.

If "The thing resonates really bad at any speed" then you have a problem. The dual mode exhaust with the flaps closed is QUIET. At hiway speeds you shouldn't be anywhere near the 3500RPM required to open the flaps. If you changed from factory stock put the fuse back in to change it back, it'll be quiet in town and at cruise, only loud (resonate) past 3500 RPM & WOT.

Why not do the Exhaust Commander or Mild to Wild and have it both ways?
