I went to pick up a magazine at lunch in the C6 and leaving the tight rear exit, I scraped the driver side rim and tire on this absurdly huge curb. 
I know it was my fault but I just wanted to vent to my fellow Vette guys. Maybe soon I can get some CCW's and better tires!!

If you're ever in downtown Waynesville, NC and you parallel park along Main Street - be advised that the painted lines for the parking spots are a LOT narrower than a Corvette (or any other car). It's a definite misrepresentation that can direct you smack onto the curb with your wheels. Most people drive trucks here so it doesn't matter to them, but a Corvette with its low profile tires will scrape!
The NCM has a trip with former R8C folks stopping in Waynesville for lunch in a couple of weeks, so if you're among them - BEWARE!

It happens all the time.
I had my CCW wheels less than a week when I ground the front-right against the curb while parking (fast traffic, poor depth perception) on a busy street. $800 wheel trashed in a matter of seconds. $200 total to fix it.
Now I take my time parking in traffic. I don't care if the guy behind me doesn't like it. Live and learn.

I have to look through my catalog of stock Corvette Forums to find some appropriate responses...wait...I found a few:
1. Damn GM! This shouldn't happen on a $50,000 car!
2. You should always avoid (curbs, car washes, rain, snow, cold, gravel, speed bumps, road crowns, etc.) in a car like this. It's your own fault.
3. At least the curb took responsibility for the damage.
4. Get a good lawyer and sue the manufacturer of the (curb, magazine, etc.).
5. Tell the dealer your car was delivered with damage and have them repair the wheel and tire under warranty.
6. This wouldn't have happened if you had a Z51.
There must be other potential responses that I've missed...I'll keep checking.

I will have two brand new sets soon. Both are verts not z06s. Both painted i believe. The 06 are the 5 star, and I think the 09s will be the 5, dual spoke painted if that helps. maybe someone knows better what i should get on the 09 if i didnt order anything special added, wheel wise.
