just to add what the others have said - I got screwed by a dealer on a factory certified car with a clean Car Fax report. Turns out it was involved in a major collision and I discovered that if you know the right people one can avoid reporting collision damages to the required agencies.

Just like if you have the coin for a good defense attorney, you can get away with murder, literally. if you know the right person, ANYTHING can happen and often does. There are ways to "clean" your credit report and erase your permanent criminal records etc...
It is a sorry state of affairs but it is true nontheless. It usually always comes to C A S H !!!
Did the dealer straighten it out or fess up or what ?
