Pedaling Your A6
Do any of you pedal your A6 just as it shifts under hard excelleration? By pedaling I mean slightly lift off the throttle and then mash it hard again. I have done this a few times in my car and it really makes it feel like a more forceful shift. Would this be any harder on the transmission than just putting it to the floor and letting it run through the gears?

I find that mine shifts harder and quicker if I keep my foot in it......I even press a little harder when I hit the paddle...... For me, lifting as you are describing seems to delay the shift a LOT!

Why lift? Actually what you are doing is shocking the drive train system, remember you are dealing with a torque converter (which if I am not mistaken is called flashing the torque converter) and not a SMG type of trans with a computer controlled clutch which you need to shift like a manual trans by lifting off and then stepping on the gas pedal. But even then when going fast with and SMG type trans as well as the A6 trans you just stay on the gas and the trans will be shifting hard as you shift manually.
I know my car gives me a jolt when I moderately accelerate and shift and pegs me back in the seat when at WOT.
