Drove all day yesterday. This morning battery shows 70%. Leave it a few more days and shows 40%. Dealer says battery is good. Re programed door modules. This didn't help.
Better get your alternator checked and that sounds suspiciously like my battery's behavior just before it died. I had several folks (like Advanced Auto Parts and others) tell me the battery was fine too. I almost got stuck in the middle of nowhere when I stalled it.
How do you know what % the battery is? Is there something in the car that tells you? Normally a battery is checked for voltage, not %...
Mine normally sits overnight at 12.40 to 12.55.
My factory battery failed at 22 months. I replaced with an Optima Red Top.
My Nov 06 built 07 Z06 just got a new battery under warranty. That sucker is a #@%$& to get out of the back! Took it down to my local Chevy dealer. They put it on the battery tester and it said to replace.
Batteries last about 3 years or so here in the desert. At least it died in the garage instead of on a road trip.
With all the electronics on these cars today I think its best to change the battery every 3 yrs at least. It will save you aggravation down the road..and a battery is probably one of the least expensive items to do on these cars....safe rather than sorry.
