WAF (wife acceptance factor) applies even to you guys?

I may not have all the answers, but after many years of marriage my retired butt (I work freelance now when I feel like it) waved goodbye to the wife as she backed out of the driveway to go to work, my biggest problem was that I couldn't drive either my Corvette or Classic GTO down to the boatyard to spend the day hanging out on my 30 foot boat because it was pouring rain outside. Now I have to decide if I want to spend the day detailing the cars in the garage, hanging out watching the big screen plasma, or messing around on the computer. Hmmm...maybe I'll do a little of each, then again ......... maybe I'll take a ride over to my friend's shop for lunch and hang out a little while first.
BTW: I got some before she left for work this morning too.
Being whipped into submission ain't all that bad after all.

My Wife really does not care what I spend on the Vette as she knows it is something I enjoy, obviously she also expects other financial items will be taken care of, and we still will take our trips, etc.

I dunno, i've always told my girlfriends if they could blow like a turbo i'd quit messing with cars, the private parts of a girl surely don't excite me like a car does

nah i live with my girlfriend, but she knows MUCH better than to start dictating on my hobbies/cars/friends etc
she knew when we met that partying with friends and lots of cars/racing would occur every weekend, she keeps hoping i'll "grow out of it", but probably not

It's give and take when you get married. It has to do with respecting the other person, and them you. If the decision makes sense, then I don't see how your spouse will not agree to something that will make you happy. The same thing will need to be reciprocated. Regardless of who brings in the money.

You see? That's where we differ! As much as I love my car, when I'm on my death bed getting ready to draw my last breath my final thought won't involve another ride in the car. I will be thinking about whether or not I could convince her to "do the right thing" one last time, and would she mind terribly if the hot nurse joins in.
