I'm going to show my car tomorrow, and they want the hood and hatch open for the better part of the day. The hood doesn't have a light, so I'm not worried about that, but the hatch triggers the interior lights to be on. I've noticed that they go off after a period of time w/ the hatch open, but does anybody know if there is any additional drain after that, or is it safe to leave it open all day? I'd rather not disconnect the battery as I really don't want to re-program the car after reconnecting.
No additional electrical draw after the light goes out. The system is set up to shut off after about 10 minuets if no activity.
Just keep in mind that each time you open a door or close and re-open the hatch or hood you start the cycle all over again. Openning it once and keeping it open will be fine. Even several cycles of open and closed during the day will be fine as well. Enjoy the show.
