DIC Message
I need some help from the forum - I keep getting the TOP not secure DIC message on my 08 vert, the message quits once I start driving and then the DIC message comes back on in a random order. I also get the DIC message saying that the trunk partition is not secure but on a less frequent basis.
I did disconnect my battery and upon reconnection all of the DIC messages started to appear. The dealer is ordering me another switch for the top - but I think the computer is messed up - anyone out there experience this problem?
Would disconnecting the battery again make a difference?

The power top will not operate if the windows are not working properly.
Since your battery was disconnected, your windows may need to be re-indexed by doing the following:

You have to re-index as described the the post above.
Also, make sure the tabs on the partition in the trunk are secure. Sometimes they are not fully snapped on, and that causes the message also. (I doubt it very much that the switch is bad).

I did re-index the windows, I just did it again, turned off the ignition and exited the car - guess what happened - the #$*%^#* windows went down when the door closed WTF!!!!!!!
